The Front Row - Angela Mariani discusses the Early Music Ensemble Concert: "Dolcezza"

Early Music Ensemble Concert: "Dolcezza"

Monday, May 1, 2017 7:00 PM

This event is located at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1501 University Avenue.

Free, and open to the public

Soaring ladies' voices and a consort of instruments including harpsichord, baroque guitars, viola da gamba, and traverso will be the focus of this program of early music inspired by the unparalleled vocal virtuosity of the late Renaissance group called the "concerto delle donne" with special deference toward the so-called "Three Ladies of Ferrara." Revel in the heights to which the singers' abilities will climb in the appropriately gorgeous acoustic space of St. John's Church.
