Meet Our Radio Team

Brad Burt is a reporter for KTTZ, born and raised in Lubbock. He has made a point to focus on in-depth local coverage, including civic and accountability reporting. Brad's professional interest in local journalism started on set as a member of the technical production team at KCBD Newschannel 11 before becoming a digital and investigative producer.

Samantha Larned is a reporter and producer with KTTZ. Originally from Arizona, Samantha began her journalism career at Arizona Public Media in Tucson and moved to Lubbock in 2023. She has a focus on social issues and culture journalism.

Olivia O’Rand is a senior journalism and biology student at the Texas Tech Honors College. After discovering her love for nature at a young age, Olivia is focusing on environmental journalism and covering people who are passionate about their work in the outdoors.

Mia Shephard is a senior Journalism major at Texas Tech University and an independent photographer. She is passionate about culture and the arts, with a special focus on telling stories that showcase what makes Lubbock unique.

Michelle Waida is a senior in creative media industries and journalism at Texas Tech University. She primarily enjoys covering topics related to education, health care, and politics.

Charley Maranville is a junior agricultural communications student at Texas Tech University. She grew up on the eastern plains of Colorado and loves writing about all things agriculture at the local, state, and national levels.

Jaxon Stallings is radio operations for KTTZ. He grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Tech University. Jaxon started his career in radio at the student station KTXT in 2022. Jaxon has a passion for voice acting and you can hear his voice on all four of our stations.

Carver Rangel is a radio operator for KTTZ. He grew up in Lubbock and began his career at KAMC channel 28 and KLBK channel 13 in 2017 as a production assistant and later a master control operator in 2019. In high school he found an interest in media and immediately ran with it, jumping into the scene and learning what makes media tick.
