Internships
Interested in audio journalism or production? Are you passionate about digital storytelling? Want to hone your reporting skills working alongside professionals in the field? KTTZ-FM audio production and journalism teams are looking for interns.
Our interns work closely with reporters, operations, and production team members to put together all aspects of our coverage. Our journalism interns write for the radio and online, research and schedule interviews, and use professional equipment in recording, editing, and photography. Journalism interns also attend news planning meetings, pitch stories, and work on special projects as assigned. Most successful internships result in several online and on-air bylines on 89.1FM. Production interns will learn how to work with professional studio equipment, operations processes, and voice over experience. They will have the opportunity to produce on air promos and segues for the station.
Internships are open to current college students. Internship hours are up to 20 hours per week and may be semester-long or academic year-long.
To apply, please fill out this Google Form with some information about yourself. You’ll need to include a resume, a cover letter, and contact information for two references.
