March 3 is Election Day for the Texas joint primaries. Texas voters will cast a ballot to pick which Republican and Democratic candidates will represent their parties in the November general election.
There are offices with candidates to be decided at the federal, state, and local level.

To see the races on your ballot based on your voting precinct, search below:
Voters planning to participate early are required under Texas state law to present one of seven valid forms of photo ID at the polls.
- Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
- Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
- United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
- United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
- United States Passport (book or card)

- U.S. Senator (John Cornyn’s seat)
Statewide races
- Texas Governor
- Lieutenant Governor
- Attorney General
- Comptroller of Public Accounts
- Commissioner of General Land Office
- Commissioner of Agriculture
- Railroad Commissioner (Jim Wright’s seat)
- Four members of the Texas Supreme Court
- Three members of the Court of Criminal Appeals
- Three members of the 15th Court of Appeals
District-based state races
- The State Senator for District 28.
- The House Representatives for Districts 83 and 84.
- Several Chief Justices of Courts of Appeals
- Various regional Courts of Appeals judges
Lower-level judges and local county offices may also appear on the ballot, including:
- County Courts at Law
- Justices of the Peace
- District Clerks
- County Clerks
- County Treasurers
- County Surveyors
