Lubbock, Frenship ISD announce free summer meal programs

To combat summer hunger, Lubbock and Frenship Independent School Districts are once again offering free summer meal programs for children 18 and younger, regardless of enrollment.

The programs, run in partnership with Aramark and other community organizations, offer both on-site cafeteria meals and grab-and-go options at various locations.

Lubbock ISD's summer meal service begins Monday, May 27, and will continue through July 31. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday. Both breakfast and lunch will be available.

Lubbock ISD On-Site Meal Locations (Must be eaten in cafeteria):

  • Coronado High School - Door #26 
    • Breakfast: 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
  • Monterey High School - Door #17 
    • Breakfast: 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
  • Estacado High School - Door #23 
    • Breakfast: 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
  • Lubbock High School - Door #8 
    • Breakfast: 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

  • Parsons Elementary School: 10:15 - 10:30 a.m. 
  • Roberts Elementary School: 10:45 - 11:00 a.m. 
  • Whiteside Elementary School: 11:30 - 11:45 a.m. 
  • Dunbar College Preparatory Academy: 11:00 - 11:15 a.m. 
  • Ervin Elementary School: 11:20 - 11:35 a.m. 

Grab-and-go locations are sponsored by the South Plains Food Bank and Lubbock National Bank.

Frenship ISD "Tiger Bites" Program

Frenship ISD's "Tiger Bites" program begins June 2 and runs until July 25. Free lunches will be provided every weekday.

  • Frenship High School Soccer Complex: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
  • Duran Park: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

All locations for both districts will be closed the week of June 30 to July 4 for the Fourth of July holiday.
