Tonight at 8PM: "Mel Brooks: Make a Noise"

“Mel Brooks: Make a Noise" profiles the larger-than-life, yet very private comedy giant. After 60 years in show business, Brooks has earned more major awards than any other entertainer. He has never agreed to a biography, making his participation in this documentary a first.

This episode of American Masters takes a journey through Brooks' early years in live television-to his satirized films like Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs- to the success of the Broadway version of his first film The Producers. The documentary looks back on his childhood, his ups and downs in his career and his personal life. The episode includes interviews with Brooks, Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Cloris Leachman, Carl Reiner and Joan Rivers.

Premieres Tonight, 8:00 pm
