Lubbock confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths today. This brings the total case count for the county to 4,880, with 2,278 listed as active, 68 deaths, and 2,534 listed as recovered.
There are currently 113 patients hospitalized in Lubbock with the virus. With 52 of those patients in an ICU bed. Thursday the city received 884 test results, making today’s positivity rate was 12.55%.

“As of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020, the City of Lubbock confirmed 111 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and 66 recoveries. The total number of cases in Lubbock County is 4,880: 2,278 active, 2,534 listed as recovered and 68 deaths.
The City wants to remind citizens to follow Governor Greg Abbott's latest executive order which prohibits gatherings of 10 or more people, within the city limits, unless approval from the Mayor is received. That order can be found at www.mylubbock.us/COVID19
