Lubbock confirmed 184 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths today. This brings the total case count for the county to 2,457, with 1,329 listed as active, 52 deaths, and 1,076 listed as recovered. For the second day in a row Lubbock breaks its record for single-day confirmations. The city received 1,057 test results today; making Wednesday’s positivity rate is 17.4%.

“As of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, the City of Lubbock confirmed 184 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and 162 recoveries. The total number of cases in Lubbock County is 2,457: 1,329 active, 1,076 listed as recovered and 52 deaths. All this information can be found on a comprehensive dashboard at www.mylubbock.us/COVID19
The City of Lubbock Health Department and other response agencies are prepared and have employed standard response plans designed to address and resolve public health issues. The Department will continue monitoring individuals as indicated by the CDC. The Department’s disease surveillance team will continue working diligently to ensure the public remains at a low risk of contracting COVID-19.
