The 58th Annual Carol of Lights on KTTZ-TV

Join KTTZ-TV for the 58th Annual Carol of Lights, Texas Tech's celebration of the holiday season Friday, December 2nd @ 6:30 p.m.

With the flip of a switch, more than 25,000 colored lights illuminate 18 buildings around Memorial Circle, the Engineering Key and the Broadway Entrance to the campus during Texas Tech University's Carol of Lights®.

The 58th Annual Carol of Lights® will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016. The Carillon Concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. before the ceremony, with the Carol of Lights commencing at 7:00 p.m. The Masked Rider, Saddle Tramps Torch Light Processional, and High Riders will begin the ceremony at the University Seal on Broadway and follow the luminaria lighted route around Memorial Circle to the Science Quadrangle.

The Tech Trombone Choir, under the direction of Jim Decker, will accompany the Texas Tech University Combined Choirs.

The lights will be turned on every night from dusk (approximately 6:30 p.m.) until midnight from December 3, 2016 through January 1, 2017.

Becky joined the Texas Tech Public Media team in September of 2013 after more than 17 years in the broadcast business with many different roles. Becky started her career path with classes in high school and continued through college. Her first media job was at KLBK-13 in production of live news & sports. While working at the television stations Becky began her freelancing position with Texas Tech Athletics. She continues to freelance and loves working on live broadcasts with Texas Tech Athletics and Fox Sports. Becky found a real passion for marketing and promotions while she worked at KJTV-34 for several years. She returned to her media roots at KLBK-13 & KAMC-28 in a promotions position and received Employee of the Year in 2007 and was promoted to eMedia Manager in 2009. Becky is very happy to be back in the marketing and promotions game at Channel 5 and 89.1. She is excited about all the new and exciting things planned for Texas Tech Public Media.
