The New York Times Features Katharine Hayhoe and Global Weirding

Global Weirding Host, Katharine Hayhoe is quite the busy climate scientist.  Today Hayhoe is featured in The New York Times:   Katharine Hayhoe, a Climate Explainer Who Stays Above the Storm written by John Schwartz.  Katharine discusses climate change, her appearance at South by South Lawn with President Obamaand the actor Leonardo DiCaprio and our new web series Global Weirding.

Becky joined the Texas Tech Public Media team in September of 2013 after more than 17 years in the broadcast business with many different roles. Becky started her career path with classes in high school and continued through college. Her first media job was at KLBK-13 in production of live news & sports. While working at the television stations Becky began her freelancing position with Texas Tech Athletics. She continues to freelance and loves working on live broadcasts with Texas Tech Athletics and Fox Sports. Becky found a real passion for marketing and promotions while she worked at KJTV-34 for several years. She returned to her media roots at KLBK-13 & KAMC-28 in a promotions position and received Employee of the Year in 2007 and was promoted to eMedia Manager in 2009. Becky is very happy to be back in the marketing and promotions game at Channel 5 and 89.1. She is excited about all the new and exciting things planned for Texas Tech Public Media.
