Housed in another red-roofed building on the campus of Texas Tech University are some of the state's greatest historical artifacts, including the papers of great Texans like Preston Smith, Rick Husband and Willie McCool, and various physical artifacts of the ranches and railroads of Texas' heyday.
The Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library at Texas Tech is one of the university's hidden gems and houses some of the most historically important relics of Texas and elsewhere in the US.
