Lubbock's Citizens Tower was a polling place during the early voting period.

Early voting begins this week for municipal and school board elections, several city and school board positions in Lubbock County are on the ballot this year, including Lubbock’s mayor and city council positions in Districts 1, 3, and 5; while voters in Slaton Independent School District will be deciding on two proposed school bonds.

Lubbock ISD was set to have several trustee board positions on the ballot, but cancelled its portion of the election earlier this year, because none of the races were contested.

Early voting runs April 20-28, though polls are closed Tuesday, April 21 for San Jacinto Day.
