The Flatlands Dance Theatre is offering a program this weekend in Lubbock. Dr. Ali Duffy is on this episode of The Front Row to give us more information on the event.
Tell us about the performances you have coming up.
Our upcoming show is called, “Delicious: An Evening of Dance and Dessert.” For the first time, we’re including some really yummy food along with the show we’re producing. We collaborated with the Ruffled Cup Cakery here in town, a local small business and we decided that we wanted to understand the story of their business and what inspired them to make their yummy treats.
We used that as our inspiration for several dance works that we’re creating. So, we’ll have a dessert bar, and patrons can come in and try some of Ruffled Cups goodies and then we’ll transfer into the firehouse theatre at LHUCA for the show.
