Wednesday night, the incredibly talented team from Texas Tech’s department of Institutional Advancement hosted a premiere party for the new Channel 5 at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts. The theme of the party was the Roaring ’20s. Paul Hunton put together a preview reel for everyone to watch that included a sneak peek of the Ken Burns’ documentary Prohibition and Channel 5′s upcoming documentary Through Thin Air (airing September 15 at 8pm). Catering was provided by Tech’s Top Tier Catering and College Flowers handled the decorations (check out that peacock!!).
I had a great time meeting so many interesting people from Lubbock and the surrounding area and I loved hearing all the ideas for local businesses to feature on LOCALLY OWNED!
