Well it looks like it's going to be a great week! Lots of good movies are coming out today! Some I was pleasantly surprised by, some where just destined to be great, and some are classics.
The Artist (2011)

A silent film that won a Best Picture Award in 2011. That's impressive, but I feel like the academy really overlooked some other great films in order to offer a program of nostalgic/old Hollywood production values and storytelling. "Drive" was the best picture I saw last year and it wasn't even nominated. Hopefully we can get away from having "themed" award shows and just award good work, doubtful.

21 Jump Street (2012)

This movie so amazingly surprisingly hilarious. Channing Tatum or Tatum Channing whatever first name goes first, is really hilarious in this. I enjoyed this as much or more than a lot of comedies that have come out in the last 10 years. A good throwback to raunchy buddy comedies!

Wrath of the Titans (2011)

Feel the Wrath! Did the remake of a film that didn't have a sequel need a sequel? Probably not, but that's ok because this one is full of huge effects and giant fist fights from titans! Did I mention wrath? There is some of that as well!

Bullhead (2011)

I haven't seen this one yet but I've been told it's fantastic. In fact, on this month's 24 Frames CEO and Founder of the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Tim League, spoke of his great love of this film so much so that they bought it so they could show it in their theaters. If you missed that make sure and tune in this Thursday at 8:30pm on Channel 5.
