Produce multi-platform content on a daily basis including underwriting, broadcast features, and online stories. Pitch story ideas and follow local news issues and stories. Edit broadcast and online stories that understand storytelling beyond a “news” environment.
Contribute to overall production department output, including social media. Must have authoritative, conversational on-air delivery. Exercise solid news/story judgment and ability to perform without supervision. Ability to multi-task, work under deadline pressure and problem solve. Strong knowledge of Texas Tech and Lubbock news issues.
The Producer/Reporter will be responsible for producing and contributing to all local productions daily which include but are not limited to underwriting spots, local interests stories to air within local magazine shows documentaries and pledge drives.
