KTTZ Hiring Digital Media Coordinator

Major/Essential Functions:
 

  • Serve as primary visual communications professional for Texas Tech Public Media, utilizing design software to create multi-page publications, brochures, exhibits, web page design, and other projects as assigned by Associate Managing Director.
  • Responsible for creating underwriting, promotions, and local productions. Work with marketing, underwriters, development, faculty, staff and production team members to provide visual services, production and editing as requested.
  • Responsible for receiving locally produced radio content and posting to the website in both audio and textual formats.
  • Responsible for gathering weekly/daily promotional material (aural, textual and graphical) from the networks and posting to the website. Coordinates an assortment of print and electronic design projects effectively and in a timely manner - managing and prioritizing them to utilize office time efficiently.
  • Oversee/maintain/moderate all social media. Responsibility includes working periodically with the TTPM Marketing Director on specific marketing initiatives.
  • Assists in the coordination, design and installation of stations' events, ensuring their quality and timely presentation.
  • Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Responsible for maintenance, code and software upgrades, and periodic refurbishment of the Texas Tech Public Radio and TV Facebook pages.

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to organize, coordinate and complete multiple graphic design projects, such as publications, posters, exhibits, signage and flyers in a professional and timely manner. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. Experience working with the Adobe Creative suite design software. Experience with studio equipment, field cameras and Adobe Premiere editing software.
