TTU Music Professor Records Lost Violin Sonata From Samuel Barber

A Texas Tech University professor of music has just recorded the world premier of a lost violin sonata by Samuel Barber. We’ll have all the details on today’s show!

On today’s edition of The Front Row, we are in the office of professor John Gilbert at the Texas Tech University School of Music. He is professor of violin here at the School of Music and he has just released a new recording, a 2 CD set called Youthful Passions. It includes music by Richard Strauss and Dohnànyi, and we’re here to talk to John Gilbert about that today.
