The Lubbock Symphony Concludes Season with a Revelation

For the finale, the LSO welcomes back outstanding Serbian guest cellist Maja Bogdanovi? as she performs Antonín Dvo?ák’s complex Cello Concerto. ";s:3:

LUBBOCK, TX – The LSO will bring its 2015-2016 Genesis season to a close with the final set of Masterworks concerts entitled REVELATION April 29 and 30 at the Civic Center Theatre.

The concert will open with Johannes Brahms’ celebratory Academic Festival Overture, followed by his Symphony No. 3.  For the finale, the LSO welcomes back outstanding Serbian guest cellist Maja Bogdanovi? as she performs Antonín Dvo?ák’s complex Cello Concerto.  

Hailed by The Strad after her Carnegie Hall recital for “an outstanding performance of exceptional tonal beauty, great maturity of interpretation, and technical excellence,” MajaBogdanovic is rapidly becoming one of today’s foremost cellists. Highlights of her 2014-2015 season include debuts with the Berlin Symphony, BergischePhilharmonie, Lubbock Symphony, Macedonian Philharmonic, Orchestra del TeatroCivicoSchio, Slovenian Philharmonic, StädtischesOrchester/Bremerhaven, and the TonhalleOrchester/Zurich, in addition to return engagements with the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Sydenham Festival Orchestra.
