The Front Row: Daniel Bae

On this special edition of the Front Row, we visit with 15-year-old violinist, Daniel Bae. Bae is originally from Lubbock, and currently resides in Los Angeles. He will be a guest on the next From The Top, which airs Saturday, Jan 20.

How do you like living in Los Angeles?

I’m currently attending the Culver Music Academy and I have a lot of friends at the academy and we have the same interests. So we get along much better and we get much closer than just regular friends in regular schools. So I really enjoy that in Los Angeles. My teacher has encouraged and inspired me so much to progress to another higher level. So I’m really grateful for that.

How did you find out about From The Top and the audition process? What made you want to audition?

I really wanted to attend the Culver music academy, so I wanted to apply to From the School for the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship program so that I could start attending the academy in Los Angeles. Without the scholarship, I can’t attend the academy.
